Little Passports’ new gift subscription now lets younger kids get in on the world travel adventures too.

Little Passports Early Explorers subscription gift for kids

Even before she had made her first trip out of the country, my daughter loved the subscription her aunt bought her to Little Passports when she was in grade school. Each month, she’d receive a packet of information and little trinkets about a new country that she could tuck safely into her small blue suitcase.

If you have younger kids, you may be happy to learn that even they can take a virtual trip around the world now, with Little Passports Early Explorers. It comes with specially designed materials and items for kids between the ages of 3-5, no real passport needed. Or expensive tickets to Egypt or France. Phew.

When you sign up for Little Passports Early Explorers, the first mailing will include their iconic storage suitcase that kids adore — this time in orange. They can also expect a big, nicely made wall map of the world to help them understand the scope of their travels, a 20-page activity booklet that introduces Max & Mia, the two imaginary pen pal kids who will be taking them on their journeys,

and some stickers and a luggage tag to put on their suitcase.

It’s a really smart way to get kids excited for the upcoming mailings and ours just love it.

I love that the 20-page activity booklet is something we can go through together while we talk about some of the landmarks in each country, but kids may be locked in on all the country-specific stickers to put on the outside of their suitcase, and trinkets like a replica of the Eiffel Tower or the Great Sphinx of Giza. Personally, I like that these souvenirs are of landmarks, not random junky treats.

Besides, crepes just don’t travel that well by airmail.

Check it out if you need a gift for the kid who has everything. Because what kid doesn’t love getting their very own mail each month? As in, real mail. Not something that beeps on your phone.

Little Passports Early Explorers, for kids ages 3-5, is available for subscriptions at $14-$16 a month depending on the plan you choose. For the sake of disclosure, they have been a great sponsor of the Spawned podcast, but this is an unrelated feature — just something we wanted to share with you even before we knew they’d be sponsoring our show. Because it’s awesome.
