Despite the current snowpocalypse conditions on the East Coast, groundhogs across the country insist that warm weather is just around the corner. (We think they had something to do with the storm being named Nemo.) So we’ve decided to think positive and dream of sunny days ahead–not hard to do when we spotted the new Spring 2013 line of little girls’ swimwear from CMP fave Tea Collection. Here’s a first look at the new swimsuits that will have you wishing for warmer climes and times.
As a kid, I was fortunate enough to spend a few years in gorgeous, colorful South Africa. Turns out Tea Collection’s new swim collection is inspired by this beautiful country, with a palette I completely adore. And it’s no surprise to me that the new Tea Collection girls’ swimwear line, which comes in one-piece, tankini, and rash-guard styles, is as fantastic and age-appropriate as their clothing line. My favorite is the Capetown Surf pattern, which features bold, beautiful flowers that I’d actually love in a bathing suit in my size.
The Rainbow Waves are a unique take on the popular chevron trend, and perfect for little girls who prefer blue over pink (yes, they do exist!).

I’d say the collection runs pretty true to size, if maybe a bit small. If you’ve got a little girl that’s at the top end of her size right now, I’d buy up. The amazing quality of the girls’ swimsuits makes me believe that they’ll last a full summer of beach and pool trips, which is a rarity given the frequency of our visits. Now off to plan a spring break vacation so we can put these bathing suits to good use. Stay warm…and think warm! -Kristen
