Think laid-back, Southern California, bohemian chic and you’ve got Frankie & Sue‘s new fall collection of dresses for girls. They’re all about jewel tones, which I love for fall, and while there’s a lot of mix-and-match patterns, they’re working towards a more cool, not-cutesy vibe.
These are comfortable cotton clothes for girls to play in, but pretty enough to wear out to a party. And while not everything in the collection is our cup of tea, I think a few of the dresses in particular make great all-around pieces for my daughter’s closet.
These clothes are inspired by relaxed Southern California culture and I like that they’re made there from start to finish. I love the relaxed knits that my daughter calls “so amazingly incredibly comfortable.” (Yes, that’s a quote.) From a mom’s perspective, the wovens aren’t as soft, and probably should be ironed after you wash them (which does not jibe with my relaxed vibe to be honest) but the sizing holds up well through the wash and the colors still look vibra
