While the whole fashion world has been overly focused on emerald green lately as the favored Spring Pantone Color of 2013, I’m still a little more charmed by all the blues I’m seeing. The right blue can actually be an awesome neutral, and a great alternative to black, as I’m finding recently.
(Let me say, as a New Yorker, anything that can gently pry me away from black is a Very Big Deal.)
Here are just a few investment pieces that I have my eye on this season to up the fashion quotient without a complete wardrobe overhaul.
I love pretty much everything from Hayden-Harnett and the new Pieced out Hobo Bag is no exception, especially in this gorgeous Baltic blue. It’s even got enough room for toting an iPad on the go.
I own a few pieces from k2o by Karen Ko and they get a lot of wear. One of my favorites is the Pop Ring, and I love seeing it now in this gorgeous denim blue. Instant compliment generator. It’s in the fall collection, but I think it will look amazing in the spring and summer too.
I’m drooling over these comfy slip-ons loafer by Belle by Sigerson Morrison, one of my favorite splurgey shoe labels. The spikey rivets up the top keep it from looking like your standard issue 70’s loafers, and the color? Perfection.
