Apple And Apple Juice For Your Baby:

You can start giving apple and apple juice to your baby after the sixth month, but as it is new to him, remember to do so in small amounts. It is always best to give him fresh and homemade apple juice. If you choose store bought apple juice, make sure you buy ones that are labeled as 100% juice. Do not buy the ones that have artificial sweeteners or added flavors.

When your baby is six months old, you can give him about four ounces of juice on a daily basis, but not more. You can also dilute it with water before offering it to your baby.

During the first few weeks when you introduce the juice in place your breast milk, make sure it does not take away the feed time. Your baby still needs the nutrition from breast milk, and apple juice cannot replace the nutritional content of the same (1).

Easy Step By Step Guide On How To Cook Apple For Your Baby:

As with any new food, it is important that you introduce apple to your baby in small quantities. Never give your baby too much apple in one go. You can start by giving a little spoon the first day and see how he reacts to it. He may love the taste and ask for more, or he may refuse it. In some cases, he may not have any qualms about having a new food. In some cases, he may suffer from a stomach problem or a food rash. Every time you feed him any new food, keep a close watch on how he reacts to it. If you notice any problems with feeding your baby apples, stop giving it to him for a week or two. Once he is fine, you can start trying again by giving a few spoons at a time.
