What Is A Paleo Diet?

A Paleo diet is thought to have existed right from the times of the early man, and is also sometimes known as the cave diet. It is a diet that mostly relies on vegetables, meat and fish and excludes any form of milk, dairy, sugar or cereals. It also asks you to completely give up on any type of processed foods.

The name Paleo is derived from the Paleolithic age, where early humans would only eat foods that were naturally available. Today, those who opt for the Paleo diet claim to eat the most natural foods they can get. Some of the most popular food items in the Paleo diet include grass fed

meats, fish, vegetables, fruits, seeds and nuts. To make it a little easier, certain restrictions are allowed in the diet that let you include items like potatoes and even low fat dairy products. However, those who are strict Paleo diet followers entirely give up on even those fruits and vegetables that they fear contains too much fructose.
