  • The size of the blanket depends on your measurement
  • Ruler
  • Pens or pencil
  • A pair of scissors

How To:

1. Lay out the piece of fleece on the back of the blanket. The side that will form the back should face down. Ask your kids to help you smooth the fleece out using their hands.

2. Ask your kids to lay the front part of the blanket down. Place this piece on the other piece and smooth it out using your hands.

3. Trim the sides to get the size down to what you want. The finished blanket will be 8-10 inches smaller so trim accordingly.

4. Depending on the size of the blanket, you want the fringe to be measure in from the corners and ask your kids to draw a square. For example, if you want the fringe to be around 5 inches, measure a 5 inch square from the corner. Do this for each corner.

5. Cut out the squares by firmly holding down both the fleece. Tie the fringes along all sides of both pieces of the fleece.

6. Proceed to tie the fringes up in knots, using both the front and back fleece. Once you’ve tied up the entire fringe, your blanket is ready.
