You Will Need:

  • A piece of cord, which runs the entire length of the room
  • Red and white pieces of felt or velvet
  • Old clothes pegs
  • Colored paper
  • A pair of scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil

How To:

  1. Help your child to cut out heart shapes from the felt or velvet paper.
  2. Use the white felt or velvet paper to cut out two D letters and one A.
  3. Help your child glue the letters over each heart.
  4. Cut out three squares of colored paper. The squares should be slightly bigger than
    the hearts.
  5. Help him glue the hearts onto the squares.
  6. Hang the cord on a wall where it is easily visible.
  7. Use the pegs to pin the squares on the cord, forming the word D-A-D.

How To:

  1. Help your kid model a tie using the air-drying clay.
  2. Keep the clay tie aside to set.
